Vacationing in States with the Least Covid-19 Cases

Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that as of June 4, 2021, a total of 136,644,618 Americans, or 41.2 percent of the United States population, have received full vaccination against Covid-19. This means they have received full doses of the vaccine and have finished the mandatory two-week post-vaccination period.

Vacationing

The CDC lifted most restrictions for fully vaccinated people on May 13. They no longer need to wear masks or practice physical distancing in most settings, except public transportation, public transportation hubs, homeless shelters, and correctional and detention facilities. Other exceptions are when there are federal, state, or local laws and regulations and business and workplace rules that require mask-wearing.

Fully vaccinated Americans can now travel domestically with no need for testing or quarantine. They are exempt from routine Covid-19 testing even after a known exposure if they are asymptomatic. This is, therefore, a good time for them to take a break from the pandemic and travel to domestic destinations with the lowest cases of Covid-19. The CDC, however, does not allow travel on cruise ships.

When they return home, they will feel refreshed, with memories to treasure. As states and territories start to reopen businesses, domestic tourism will also contribute to the recovering economy.
